Northrop Grumman is seeking a Quality Analyst 1 to join our Mission Systems sector. This position will be located in Madison, Alabama and support the Huntsville Manufacturing Center within Mission Assurance, Missile Defense and Protective Systems Division.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of Nonconforming Material (NCM) control system and governing procedures and documentation.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes as defined in process specifications.

  • Knowledge of and ability to provide PRA dispositions of nonconforming material.

  • Provides written PRA disposition/instructions for production, inspection or test personnel for the rework of nonconforming products or assemblies.

  • Manages the control of nonconforming material (bonding/releasing).

  • Ensures coordination of material review actions among performers.

  • Ensures retention and retrieval of NCM records.

  • Initiates corrective actions in accordance with sector procedure. Implement Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions, or per applicable division, site or program specific procedure, as required.

  • Provides guidance to Inspection, Preliminary Review and Engineering.

  • Maintains physical inventory of nonconforming product in a bonded setting. Responsible for accurate nonconformance documentation review and approval meeting customer and sector requirements.

  • Collects and reviews product defect data contained on nonconformance forms, summarizes defect data, and publishes trend charts and/or management reports indicating defect rate trends and corrective action status and effectiveness

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 1 years of direct related experience.

  • Knowledge of Nonconforming Material Handling

  • Experience with and the ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders across the organization and external contacts and customers.

  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions timely and with a high degree of quality.

  • Computer experience (MS Office/Excel).

  • Ability to audit processes and activities in accordance with documented procedures.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action experience

  • SAP MRP/ERP experience.

  • ISO-9001 or AS9100 Auditing experience.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience.

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.
