Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer, MET-I Analyst in Huntsville, Alabama
MET-I Description: The Missile Defense Agency Engineering Team – Industry (MET-I), also called the National Team, provides systems engineering solutions to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) for the development and evolution of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). The BMDS is an integrated, layered architecture that provides multiple opportunities to destroy missiles and their warheads before they can reach their targets. MET-I system engineers perform system-level assessments of the existing BMDS architecture and study the impacts of new technologies and concepts being considered for future BMDS architectures. The National Team engineers work closely with the MDA, FFRDCs, and various contractors and suppliers to shape the future of missile defense.
Analyst Position: The successful candidate will perform BMDS performance analyses utilizing large-scale complex BMDS Modeling and Simulation tools and utilize the results to support system engineering products for MDA. Individual will also perform development, updates, and benchmarking/anchoring of BMDS M&S tools as necessary to support system level analysis and concept evaluation tasks. Individual will coordinate analysis activities and products with functional group leads, senior management, and government personnel responsible for executing analysis tasks. The individual will document analysis results in reports and briefings to be presented to the National Team and MDA representatives. Individual will perform as a principal investigator. Individual will lead analysis teams and will serve as a mentor to less experienced team members.
Individual must have a technical background in numerical modeling and simulation, using a high level programming language such as MATLAB, Python, FORTRAN, or similar language environment.
Individual must have expertise in one of the following areas: EO/IR sensors, RF/Radar sensors, missiles/interceptors, threats, discrimination, detection/tracking, Command and Control, Electronic Warfare, Cyber Security

Desired skills Due to the diversity of projects executed on the MET-I contract, a wide variety of skill sets are being sought. If you have any experience in the following areas, please indicate this on your resume:
BMDS element domain knowledge (e.g., THAAD, Aegis BMD, Patriot, GMD, C2BMC, SBX)
Experience developing, running, and analyzing results of large, complex systems
Experience running/developing 6DOF simulations
Experience modeling/assessing ballistic threats and defensive systems
Experience modeling/assessing air-defense threats and systems
Experience modeling/assessing electronic attack / electronic protection
Experience developing/analyzing/validating requirements
Experience leading projects
Experience using MBSE requirements and architecture tools (e.g., DOORS, Rhapsody)
