We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer to support out operations as MSIC!

General SummaryDevelops and applies advanced methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of advanced system requirements and problems.Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential functions) Responsible for developing and applying advanced techniques in the investigation and solution of advanced system requirements and problems * Plans, conducts and technically directs projects or major phases of significant projects * Coordinates efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects * Conducts investigations and tests of considerable complexity * Reviews completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management * May evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services May provide technical consultation to other departments* May provide work leadership to lower level employees

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field such as information systems, engineering, etc or equivalent experience.* Minimum of eight years experience in progressively complex systems design, including hardware/software integration of complex systems. Experience should also include Linux/UNIX administration; Windows Server (2008r2, 2012)/Workstation (7, 10) administration; and/or Ethernet networking.

  • Security+ Certification required within 90 days of hiring.* Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Experience with CIFS, NFS, GPFS, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, & PXE protocols.

  • Linux/Windows Scripting knowledge.

  • Minimum of a DoD Top Secret clearance with eligibility for DIA-SCI access. Candidate selected must be able to successful pass DIA CI polygraph within 60 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree preferred.

  • Experience in High Performance Computing.

  • 8+ years’ experience with InfiniBand networking.

  • Programming experience with C, C++, Perl, Python.

  • Experience with virtualization software VMware, RHV, KVM.

  • Experience with government crypto devices.
