BAE Systems Systems Administrator in Huntsville, Alabama

Job Description

The Cyber Warrior Training Capability (CWTC) System Administrator will support CWTC virtualization operations utilizing a robust and complex system architecture within a training environment to help identify, prevent and mitigate cyber attacks. Addtionally, the candidate will be supporting and improving the development of a realistic virtual GMD cyber training environment using state of the art technologies. The CWTC Systems Administrator will also support these activities by providing overall program support in the areas below:

-Analyzing and assessing GMD system requirements, design and interface documentation

-Develop a virtualized GMD systems network environment upon an existing infrastructure to support realistic CWTC cyber training and development activities to include existing, new and emerging threats

-Oversee deployment of these network improvements to the virtualized GMD environment in direct support to CWTC cyber security, virtualization and software engineering team members during CWTC cyber training and development activities.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years' work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Significant experience with virtualization technology is needed, to include:

-familiarity with VmWare's ESXI, IBM PowerVC/PowerVM, or similar virtualization toolchains/hypervisors

-familiarity with multiple Operating Systems like Windows, Linux, Solaris, AIX and integrating systems composed of multiple Operating Systems

-familiarity with disaster recovery planning

Preferred Skills and Education

At least 5 years of system administration experience is desired, to include:

-Hardware/Software maintenance operations

-Software security patching

-Enforcement of system security policies

-Network layout and management

-Support architecture deployment in support of training, testing, exercises, and analysis support

-Risk Management Framework experience is a plus
