Remington Quality Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama
Develop, apply and maintain quality requirements and standards for the facility. Will include LEAN reporting and quality process, including inspection, development.
Serve as quality assurance resource to department supervision for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement; participate in daily quality review board process
Design and implement methods for process capability/control, process improvement, testing and inspection
Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality control plans, documents and reports
Develop, execute and analyze quality-reporting measures. Communicate with shop floor top defects and lead problem solving activities.
Interface with both internal and external supplier/customer representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and assure corrective action is implemented.
Directs and coordinates activities concerned with development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices required to test, telemeter, record, and reduce test data.
Determines conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.
Directs and exercises control over operational, functional, and performance phases of tests.
Analyzes and interprets test data and prepares technical reports.
Develops or uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on mechanical products and systems.

Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field and 3 to 5 years quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Preferred ASQ certification, GD&T knowledge and CMM programming experience.
Must have good interpersonal, written, verbal, and analytical skills.
Experience with SPC and ISO-9000 requirements.
Proficient in SAP & Microsoft applications, such as; Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook.
Must have background with Lean & Six Sigma tools
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers.
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
