COLSA Corporation is seeking a self-motivated senior radar engineer capable of leading a team of engineers to support the verification and validation of a model representing the Long-Range Discrimination Radar (LRDR). We are seeking an individual who is excited about working with state-of-the-art Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) radars and enjoys working with and solving complex problems. A STARS radar engineer will be a senior team member executing test scenarios, conducting digital simulations, and analyzing raw radar data. The STARS radar engineer will utilize, adapt, and develop analytical tools (MATLAB) to evaluate data/scenarios that will be presented to the customer. Harmonization with other team members is essential as is the ability to work both alone and in groups, depending on the task. Excellent communication skills are the hallmark of a STARS team member.
Bachelor's degree in related field such as information systems, engineering, etc or equivalent experience. * Minimum of eight years experience in progressively complex systems design, including hardware/software integration of complex systems.
Must have an active DoD Secret security Clearance.
Proficient in the area of ballistic missile radar system engineering.
Expert in communication, especially technical reporting and presentation.
Expert ability to analyze complex data, arrive at logical conclusions, and make recommendations.
Master's degree in a related field preferred.
Proficiency in Aegis Weapons Systems Models and Simulation verification and validation.
Familiarity with Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESAs) theory and technology.
Expert in radar signal processing.
Experience with development or evaluation of Long Range Discrimination Radar (LRDR).
Experience in software development and testing.
Proficiency in S-Band Radar Engineering.
