GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Kratos is currently seeking a mid-level JavaScript / SQL Database Developer to support an Army customer on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. This Developer will utilize JavaScript, object-oriented programming techniques, Microsoft SQL Server, as well as business process analysis, to address customer requirements and help them achieve their near-term and long-term goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

PRIMARY:

• Develop and maintain JavaScript services in support of automated business processes

• Develop and maintain database tables, views, and stored procedures in Microsoft SQL Server

• Create SQL queries and commands to access data for use in JavaScript-based applications

• Work with the customer to gather and document business process requirements, then translate those requirements into system and database requirements for development

• Test new and existing solutions to ensure they meet customer requirements

• Collaborate with other team members to brain storm, solve problems, and identify solution approaches

• Assist with developing training materials and support training as needed

• Reference and utilize industry best practices whenever possible

• An active security clearance is required

• SECONDARY:

• Develop solutions involving, and in conjunction with, PTC ThingWorx and Windchill

• SharePoint user administration and content management

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The employee will likely be placed in a cubicle. The work environment characteristics are representative of those of an employee encounters while performing essential functions of the job in a typical office/workstation/cubicle situation. Able to work sitting or standing at desk and operate a computer via standard input devices such as using a keyboard and reading information on a monitor.

Required Experience:

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

REQUIRED:

• A minimum of 8 years total of professional information technology experience

• 2 or more years of JavaScript and SQL Database development experience

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Willingness to work in a collaborative environment

• Customer-oriented - Willingness to take on new tasks and responsibilities in support of customer mission and goals

• Self-starter with ability to complete complex tasks with little oversight

• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel

PREFERRED:

• Experience working in a DoD related environment

• Database Administration experience

• SharePoint site and content administration

• Security+ certification

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

• BS/BA in Computer Science / Management Information Systems, or commensurate experience
