General SummaryThe Sensors Test Analysis Requirements Simulation (STARS) team is seeking a Radar Software Engineer who will assist in the verification and validation of a digital model representing the Long Range Discrimination Radar (LRDR) for the Sensors Directorate of the Missile Defense Agency. This position requires a details oriented individual who will perform a variety of tasks including source-code decomposition, analysis and evaluation of algorithms, code inspection and white-box software testing. The candidate should be proficient in C, C++ and capable of be executing documented test and analysis procedures on a demanding schedule and should be a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision. The position will include collaboration within a team environment while emphasizing individual contributions to produce products that are valuable to the customer. Candidate must have good people skills, excellent communicator and the desire to work with a highly technical team of engineers.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or other related field or equivalent experience.* Two years applicable software design engineering experience.
Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Familiarity with radar systems and/or software.
Software development experience with C++ (est. a minimum of 2 proficient C++ developers).
Computer science/software engineering skills and experience in the following areas: source-code decomposition, analysis of algorithms, code inspection; white-box software testing.
Good communication & reporting abilities.
Experience with BMDS Radars.
Experience with development or evaluation of Long Range Discrimination Radar (LRDR).
Experience developing software wrappers for software testing.
Expertise in software testing techniques.
