3M is seeking an Logistics & Inventory Control Analyst for the Film and Materials Resource Division located in Decatur, AL. At 3M, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter. Here, you go.

Job Summary:

The person hired for the position of Logistics & Inventory Control Analyst will provide verification that the plant and corporate inventory balances are equal. In turn, this person will correct imbalances by analyzing to determine the source of the discrepancy, resolve the problem, and recommend corrective action to be taken. Prepare and distribute reports to the appropriate personnel.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Investigate and reconcile all inventory discrepancies between plant and corporate systems for all films, resins, and raw materials for the Decatur Film Plant.

  • File a monthly electronic report (Form 23) by responsibility code for each item reconciled.

  • Complete a monthly SOD (segregation of duties) report, complete with documentation, for each adjustment in excess of $25,000.

  • Data entry for outbound shipments.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Possess or currently in the final year of pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university

  • Minimum of one (1) year Supply Chain experience in planning and scheduling (internship/co-op experience is considered qualifying)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Operations Management, and/or Business-related discipline from an accredited university

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

  • Familiarity with 3M systems – MIRS, IMES, COMS, USS

  • Experience with SAP

  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are required to perform the duties of this position.

Travel: May include up to 10%
